Happy December everyone!! We hope you are all looking forward to the festive season. Below is a list of important dates for this month; don’t forget all of these are up on our Events Calendar which can be synched to your phone’s Google Calendar.

All students are welcome at all lessons so please do attend if you can.

End of Year Awards

At the end of every year we give out Student of the Year Awards for Emersons Green Juniors, Emersons Green Adults (and Black Belts) and Chipping Sodbury. These students are chosen based on their attitude through the year and their demonstration of the 5 Tenets of Tae Kwon-Do.

We will also be giving out our glass service awards for students who have trained with us for 10 Years, 15 Years etc.

Fancy Dress Sessions

For our final session of the year we invite you all to come in fancy dress!! Please make sure that whatever you wear you can still do Tae Kwon-Do in it as we will be doing plenty of that with our customary 12 Days of Christmas!

During the session we will also be giving out chocolates/sweets so if you do have any special dietary requirements please let us know beforehand so that we can ensure this is catered for.

Please note that both Clubs will then be shut between Thursday 21st December and Wednesday 3rd January.

Our first sessions back will be Thursday 4th January at Chipping Sodbury and Saturday 6th January at Emersons Green.

Emersons Green Hall Refurbishments

Please note that the Emersons Green Village Hall are having the main hall floor refurbished and walls redecorated at the start of January so Saturday 6th and Saturday 13th January will be upstairs at the Village Hall. Junior & Adult Classes will be at your normal lesson times but our Black Belt Class will be split; 1st Kup & 1st Dans 11-12noon, 2nd Dan and above 12-1pm. Because of space restrictions we unfortunately won’t be able to accomodate 1st Kup or Black Belts in our Adults Class.

Unfortunately there won’t be any classes held on Wednesday 10th January as the Village Hall are unable to accomodate us elsewhere on this date. Students are welcome to attend an alternative lesson at Emersons Green or Chipping Sodbury.
